Understanding the Uniform Residential Appraisal Report isn’t as much a science as it is an art. And when you become familiar with the typical guidelines, you’ll be better equipped to identify potential problems that could alter an underwriting decision.
Join MGIC for this comprehensive workshop certain to strengthen your appraisal evaluation skills and improve your overall performance in the mortgage process. You’ll learn to:
- become familiar with typical secondary market appraisal guidelines, available reports, and cautionary items that help identify potential problems;
- learn to find your way around the Uniform Residential Appraisal Report;
- appreciate the relevance of the Subject, Site, Neighborhood and Improvements sections, etc., of the URAR;
- identify red flags on an appraisal report that could alter an underwriting decision; and
- accurately evaluate the Site Value and the Cost and Sales Comparison, as well as the appraiser’s comments and notes.
