Fannie Mae Alternative Modification™ Program

Fannie Mae Alternative Modification Program is available for mortgages that were in active HAMP trials prior to March 1, 2010. Servicers are required by Fannie Mae to consider the Alternative Modification™ (Alt Mod™) program prior to pursuing foreclosure proceedings.

Reporting Requirements

MGIC requires that the servicer report this specific program to us in their monthly modification reporting with an identifier for this program.

Use MGIC/Link to report this specific program to MGIC on a monthly basis using our Loan Modification spreadsheet.

Guidelines

Servicers have delegated authority from MGIC to complete modifications on loans that meet the terms of the Fannie Mae Alternative Modification Program.
